Milk cookies, just like in childhood - yes, that exact flavor. A GOST recipe, quite popular around cooking sites: a great snack for school or breakfast. Comes together quickly and cheaply - I recommend baking these and judging for yourself!

Milk Cookies, GOST Recipe
Those very milk cookies from childhood, made to the classic GOST recipe: buttery, milk-enriched dough with a golden egg-wash finish.
Ingredients
Method
- Beat the butter with the sugar. Pour in the milk and half of the beaten egg (the other half is for brushing).
- Add the baking soda and baking powder, activated with the lemon juice. Gradually adding the flour, knead the dough.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured counter and roll into a sheet 5 mm thick. Cut out cookies about 8 cm across.
- Transfer the cookies to a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush the tops with the remaining egg.
- Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 10-12 minutes. Let the finished cookies cool on a rack - and enjoy!
