Cottage cheese crescents with cinnamon are quick, budget-friendly baking made from a yeast-free dough of cottage cheese and butter, with no long waiting around. The dough is rolled into a circle, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, cut into wedges, and rolled up, then baked for 20-25 minutes at 170-180°C. Recommended.

Cottage Cheese Crescents with Cinnamon
Quick yeast-free crescents made from cottage cheese dough, rolled with cinnamon sugar and baked until golden.
Ingredients
Method
- Combine the cottage cheese with the softened butter (a fork works well), add the salt and baking powder.
- Add a cup of flour and knead the dough, adding a little more if needed. Gather the dough into a ball.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar with the cinnamon.
- Roll out half the dough on a well-floured surface into a thin circle, generously sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and cut into wedges with a knife.
- Roll up each wedge from the wide edge to the point, roll the whole crescent in the cinnamon sugar, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with the second piece of dough.

- Bake in an oven preheated to 170-180°C for 20-25 minutes. Let cool completely. Enjoy!

Notes
The dough takes about 1.5 cups of flour, plus another 0.5 cup for dusting.
Tips
- Add the flour gradually: about 1.5 cups go into the dough itself, plus another 0.5 cup for dusting and rolling.
- Roll each rolled-up crescent whole in the cinnamon sugar - the flavor becomes much richer.
- Let the pastries cool completely - only then do they reach the right texture.
