Yeast dough cabbage rolls are a hearty homemade bake: 500 g of dough, the same amount of braised cabbage, 30 minutes of proofing, and half an hour in the oven at 190-200°C. This amount makes two golden sesame-topped rolls. I recommend serving them fully cooled, sliced into pieces. Enjoy!

Yeast Dough Cabbage Rolls
Fragrant yeast rolls with braised cabbage, topped with sesame seeds and baked until golden.
Ingredients
Method
- Make the yeast dough and prepare the braised cabbage - mine has carrot and onion.
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 2 pieces. Roll each one thinly into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the filling over the dough, roll it up, pinch the seam and roll it firmly.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover with a towel and let proof for 30-40 minutes.
- Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake in an oven preheated to 190-200°C for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Let the finished rolls cool completely and slice. Enjoy!

Notes
A recipe for yeast dough with water is available on the site.
Tips
- Any yeast dough will work - for example, yeast dough with water.
- I braise the cabbage with carrot and onion, but you can make the filling to your own taste.
- Be sure to pinch the seam and roll it firmly so the roll doesn't come apart while baking.
