Cottage cheese pastries, or "hungarians," are baked treats made from just three ingredients: ready-made puff-yeast dough, cottage cheese and powdered sugar. Shape them into squares, let them proof for 30-40 minutes and bake for 20-25 minutes at 200 °C. Very convenient and budget-friendly - I recommend them.

Cottage Cheese Pastries - Hungarians
Cottage cheese "hungarian" pastries made from ready-made puff-yeast dough with a cottage cheese and powdered sugar filling.
Ingredients
Method
- Thaw the dough, cut it into squares and roll out each one a little.
- Mix the cottage cheese with the powdered sugar and place the filling in the center of each square.

- Bring the corners together to form a square, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let proof for 30-40 minutes.

- Bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C for 20-25 minutes.

- Dust the finished pastries with powdered sugar.

Tips
- For the filling, it's best to use dry cottage cheese, not a wet one - otherwise the filling will leak out during baking.
- Don't skip the 30-40 minute proofing - the pastries will rise noticeably better.
- Dust the finished pastries with powdered sugar only after they've cooled.
