Chocolate pancakes with chocolate are American-style buttermilk pancakes with cocoa and heat-resistant chocolate chips: super fluffy, airy, and truly filling. The batter comes together with a whisk in five minutes, and everything cooks on a dry skillet without a drop of oil. Recommended for a proper breakfast.

Chocolate Pancakes with Chocolate Chips
Fluffy American-style buttermilk pancakes with cocoa and heat-resistant chocolate chips, cooked on a dry skillet.
Ingredients
Method
- Whisk the egg with the sugar and salt until light and foamy.
- Pour in the buttermilk and milk, add the baking soda, and mix.
- Sift in the flour and cocoa, add the chocolate chips, and mix again - the batter is ready.

- Pour 2 tbsp of batter at a time into the center of a hot, dry skillet and cook the pancakes on both sides until done, flipping with a spatula. Enjoy!

Notes
Cook on a dry skillet, without oil.
Tips
- Don't grease the skillet: the pancakes cook on a dry surface, otherwise they'll spread out.
- Pour 2 tbsp of batter into the center at a time - this keeps the pancakes even and uniform.
- Use heat-resistant chocolate chips specifically, so they don't melt away completely inside.
