Cottage cheese and poppy seed cookies are a quick homemade bake made from a simple cottage cheese dough: rounds are rolled out, sprinkled with sugar and poppy seeds, then folded into triangles. Half an hour in the oven and you have fragrant cookies for tea. I recommend making these at home - you'll love them!

Cottage Cheese and Poppy Seed Cookies
Fragrant homemade cookies made from cottage cheese dough with a sugar-poppy seed filling - quick and simple to make.
Ingredients
Method
- Put the egg, sugar and a piece of butter in a bowl and beat with a whisk. Add the cottage cheese and mix into a smooth mass. Add the flour with baking powder and knead the dough.

- Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut out rounds with a glass.

- Spread sugar and poppy seeds on each round, then fold in half and in half again.

- Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.

- Let the cookies cool - and they're ready for tea. Enjoy!

Tips
- Shape: if you don't have a cutter, a regular drinking glass works fine for cutting the rounds.
- Rolling: roll the dough thin - the cookies come out more delicate.
