Ingredients
Method
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then boil in a pot until tender.
- Drain the water and mash the potatoes well with a potato masher.
- Add the butter and mash again.
- Pour in the beaten egg, add nutmeg and salt to taste, and mix.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Transfer the mash to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe swirls onto a baking tray.
- Brown the potatoes for 10-15 minutes and serve right away.

Tips
- An open star or closed star piping tip gives the prettiest texture, but you can also spoon the mash out and score it with a fork.
- Nutmeg is an essential flavor accent here - don't skip it.
- Serve immediately, hot from the oven.
