Homemade "Barney Bears" - dense milk-based cupcakes with brown sugar and a banana filling tucked inside. This isn't the store-bought version, and there's no "periodic table" of ingredients: the batter comes together with a whisk in a couple of minutes, and the filling is just banana mashed with a fork. Delicious, I recommend it!

"Barney Bears" with Banana Filling
Homemade "Barney Bears" cupcakes made with milk and brown sugar, filled with mashed banana. A simple recipe, ready in 20 minutes in the oven.
Ingredients
Method
- In a deep bowl, combine the melted butter and eggs, and mix well with a whisk until smooth.
- Pour in the milk and mix again.
- Sift in the flour with the baking powder, add the brown sugar, and knead the batter.
- Cut the banana into pieces and mash with a fork in a separate bowl - this is the filling.
- Fill the silicone molds with batter and place 1 teaspoon of banana filling in the center of each.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 15-20 minutes.

- Let the cupcakes cool right in the molds, then take them out. Enjoy!

Notes
Mine baked for 16 minutes each in two batches - the amount depends on the size of your molds.
Tips
- Molds: silicone ones are handiest - shaped cupcakes come out of them without losing detail.
- Filling: use exactly one teaspoon, placed right in the center - too much banana and it will burst through.
- Let the cupcakes cool right in the molds - hot ones are still too soft and break easily.
- Banana: choose a ripe one with dark spots - it's sweeter and mashes into a smooth puree.
