Method
- Pour the warm milk into a bowl, add the yeast, sugar and flour, mix well with a whisk. The mixture should become bubbly and free of lumps.
- In another bowl, mix the egg, sugar, melted butter, a pinch of salt, vanillin and turmeric until smooth.
- Add the yeast mixture, stir well again with a spoon or whisk, sift in the flour and mix the batter until smooth.
- Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm spot for 1 hour to rise.
- Add the dried fruit to the risen batter, stir and spoon it into the tins, filling them to almost half. Leave in a warm spot until the loaves rise nicely.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes in an oven preheated to 175-180°C. Let the finished loaves cool and decorate.

Notes
The recipe makes 3 small loaves in 9 cm diameter tins.
