Currant drink is a fragrant homemade compote made with black currants, strawberries and lemon balm, and it simmers for just 10 minutes. In hot weather it's best served chilled, and on a cooler day, warm. A couple of basil leaves in the glass make the flavor bright and wonderfully aromatic - I really recommend it.
