Course: Blini and pancakes
Cuisine: Home cooking

Ingredients

  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml soda pop store-bought, fizzy
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.025 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil into the batter

Method

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the salt and sugar. Whip by hand with a whisk or with a mixer into a fluffy mass - whichever is more convenient for you.
  2. Add the flour and mix well again until thick.
  3. Pour the milk and soda pop into the batter. Stir.
  4. As a final step, add the vegetable oil and stir once more. That's it, the batter is ready.
  5. Fry the crepes on a well-heated skillet on both sides. Stack them up - and they're ready to eat. Bon appetit!

Notes

Only use store-bought, fizzy soda pop - homemade won't work, since it's the carbonation specifically that makes the crepes thin and stretchy.
