Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk.
Sift 300 g of flour into a bowl, add the salt, sugar and vanilla, pour in the melted butter, the beaten egg and the milk-yeast mixture. Knead the dough, adding more flour if needed.
Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest in a warm spot for 1.5 hours.
For the filling, mix the farmer's cheese with the sugar and vanilla until smooth, passing the cheese through a sieve first if you like.
Divide the risen dough into portions and roll each into a ball. Roll each ball into a flat round and make three cuts around it, not reaching the center.
Place the filling in the center and bring the three sections together around it, shaping the bun into a rose.
Place the buns on parchment, brush with milk, and bake in a preheated 180°C oven for 25-30 minutes. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
